Welcome to the Club’s new, comprehensive, website, which has been built by Equine Affairs. If you have a business, livery yard or service that you would like Club Members to know about, a website link could be added, for a small annual fee.
Trying to improve the facilities for competitors, we are swapping Rings 1 and 2 over and the warm up area between the two rings is being split to service both, dispensing with the warm up area by the lorry park.

I hope you all find something to suit in this year’s schedules, with a number of Junior and Senior Scope qualifiers spread through the season and a Junior Discovery Second Round is scheduled. The BSJA stipulate that Second Rounds are pre entered and drawn order and that also applies to the warm up class, so please take note.
As you are all aware, the snow fell on 6 April causing disappointment to those Juniors wishing to qualify for Scope in the Sport Action TV Junior Adventurer Championship Qualifier. This class has now been rescheduled for 8 June. Unfortunately, we have been unable to reschedule the Senior Katherine James 1m Novice Championship Qualifier, as the available date of 17 August is too late.
The Club is supporting the 2008 Shires South East Rider Unaffiliated Show Jumping Series, with an 85cm Qualifier. Qualifier rounds will run from March 2008 to 31 Aug 2008 and the Championship Final will be held in October 2008 - date and venue being finalised. Riders can register up to 14 days after the class, so do not need to be registered to compete. To find out more, please visit the South East Rider Magazine website

A number of very generous sponsors have come on board this year, to whom we are very grateful. This year’s Championship Show will be the last meet of the year, 31 August. A Senior 1.40m Open series will culminate at the Championship Show with a £1,000 first prize. The Championship class will be open to full members who have competed in at least two of the previous 1.40m Open classes at WPEC in 2008.
We will be having Points Awards this year – Junior, Young Rider, Senior and Veteran – with the presentation of the awards at the 2009 AGM.

Don’t forget, entering in advance saves you money, as well as time on the day. I am happy to accept email entries, as well as those arriving by post, but please do not send entries by Registered Post, as I will not be at home to sign for them. With the new website, there may be the option of Online Entries in the future, if the demand is there. Please let us know your thoughts.
For those who have mislaid your renewal form, or know someone who would like to join, please visit the Membership section and contact Dorothy Harnden. It would be very helpful if this were in hand before coming to compete. There is also the option of Group Membership, if a number of riders come from the same yard.
